A Turkish Professor Delivered a Seminar on “Environmentally Friendly Business Practices in Tourism” for Students of Mingachevir State University

On January 12, 2026, a seminar titled “Environmentally Friendly Business Practices in Tourism” was organized by the Lifelong Learning School of Mingachevir State University. The seminar, held in a hybrid format via the Microsoft Teams platform, was attended by a group of lecturers and students of the university.

During the seminar, Professor Evren Güçer from Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University delivered a presentation. In his speech, Prof. Güçer discussed the impact of tourism and business activities on the environment, the principles of sustainable development, and the importance of environmentally responsible management. He emphasized the significance of efficient resource use, waste reduction, and the application of the “Reduce – Reuse – Recycle” principles.

The main purpose of the seminar was to inform students about reducing the environmental impact of enterprises operating in the tourism sector, implementing sustainable development principles, and promoting the “green business” approach.

At the end of the seminar, participants’ questions were answered and discussions were held on the topic.

It should be noted that the series of seminars organized by the Lifelong Learning School of MSU will continue.
