On April 25, 2026, an awareness seminar on the promotion of inclusive education was held at Mingachevir State University. The seminar was attended by the university’s academic and administrative staff, as well as undergraduate and graduate students.
The seminar was moderated by MSU lecturer Aydin Karimov. During the event, experts representing various higher education and research institutions delivered presentations on relevant topics.
Aydin Karimov presented on “Inclusivity and Self-Assessment in the Digital Environment,” highlighting the importance of inclusive approaches in digital platforms and their impact on individuals’ self-evaluation processes. Arzu Mammadova, Head of the Department of Inclusive and Adaptive Education at Baku Slavic University, delivered a presentation titled “Inclusivity in Higher Education: Equal Opportunities and a Supportive Learning Environment,” focusing on the implementation mechanisms of inclusive education policies in universities.
Researchers from the Institute of Psychology Research, Nigar Asgarova and Lamiya Huseynova, spoke on “The Role of Inclusive Psychological Support in the Educational Environment” and “Neurodevelopmental Differences and Inclusive Education,” respectively, emphasizing scientific approaches to supporting students with diverse needs and strengthening their social and academic integration.
The presentations underlined that inclusivity is not limited to physical accessibility, but also involves ensuring psychological well-being, recognizing individual differences, and creating equal development opportunities for all students.
The seminar continued in a discussion format, where participants’ questions were addressed and extensive exchanges of views took place.
The event highlighted the importance of ongoing efforts toward building an inclusive and sustainable educational environment and was regarded as a valuable platform for expanding academic and scientific collaboration in this field.
