Mingachevir State University Conducts a Survey on Food Security Among Employees

Mingachevir State University (MSU) conducted a survey to assess food security among its employees, examine access to food, and identify opportunities to improve social support mechanisms.

The primary objective of the survey was to evaluate employees’ access to adequate food, assess their awareness of support measures provided by the University, and identify existing needs related to improving food security.

The survey explored employees’ experiences regarding food accessibility, access to food assistance, the availability of affordable meal services, and potential social support mechanisms for employees experiencing food-related difficulties. Particular attention was also given to collecting employees’ suggestions for strengthening food security within the University community.

Based on the needs identified through the survey, Mingachevir State University has provided 175 university employees with free access to meals at the MSU cafeteria. This initiative aims to improve employees’ access to food and provide practical support in response to their identified needs.

The analysis of the survey findings aims to provide a better understanding of employees’ needs, help identify priority areas for social support, and inform the planning of future initiatives.

This initiative is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 2 – Zero Hunger and SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being. The activity represents an important step towards supporting employee well-being, strengthening food security, and promoting the principles of social responsibility within the University.
