The “Youth’s Legal Advocacy in the Media” project, a winner of the individual grant competition announced by the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty,” is progressing successfully.

The project aims to enhance young people’s knowledge of constitutional rights, legal awareness, media literacy, and legal advocacy mechanisms. To achieve these objectives, a series of interactive training sessions is being organized at Mingachevir State University (MSU), providing participants with an engaging environment for active learning, discussion, and the exchange of ideas.

As part of the project, another educational training session was conducted by Shabnam Islamova, a lecturer at Mingachevir State University and a career advisor. The session focused on the role of the younger generation in the media landscape during the 2020 Patriotic War.

During the training, participants explored topics including information security during wartime, combating disinformation, legal responsibility in the use of social media, the role of young people on the information front, and legal advocacy through media platforms. Interactive discussions and practical examples enabled participants to deepen their understanding of these issues and develop relevant practical skills.

The project is led by Vagif Fatullayev and is being implemented with the support of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty.” Through its educational activities, the project continues to promote legal awareness, responsible media use, and active civic engagement among young people.
