Mingachevir State University (MSU) is set to implement another initiative aimed at enhancing the quality of teaching, supporting the professional development of academic staff, and strengthening a student-centered learning environment. To this end, training sessions will be organized for the university’s academic staff on October 29–30, 2026, in cooperation with the Education Quality Assurance Agency (TKTA).
The training sessions, to be delivered by representatives of TKTA, will cover the topics “Quality-Oriented Teaching: Experiences with Innovative Teaching Methods” and “Fostering a Student-Centered Education Culture: Learning, Teaching, and Assessment.”
The sessions will provide participants with theoretical knowledge and practical insights into innovative pedagogical approaches applied in modern higher education, interactive teaching methods, strategies for ensuring active student engagement in the learning process, the organization of outcomes-based teaching, and effective assessment mechanisms.
In addition, discussions will focus on enhancing the pedagogical competencies of academic staff, exchanging best teaching practices, implementing approaches tailored to students’ individual learning needs, and strengthening continuous quality assurance throughout the teaching and learning process.
The primary objective of the training sessions is to develop the knowledge and skills of academic staff in modern teaching and assessment methods, encourage the integration of acquired knowledge and experience into everyday teaching practices, and contribute to the development of an outcomes-oriented academic environment at the university.
It should be noted that this initiative, implemented within the framework of cooperation between Mingachevir State University and the Education Quality Assurance Agency, represents a continuation of the university’s ongoing efforts to foster a culture of quality in education, strengthen its academic capacity, and establish a competitive teaching and learning environment aligned with modern higher education standards.
