Orientation Day Held at Mingachevir State University

On September 12, 2025, an Orientation Day event was held at Mingachevir State University (MSU) to familiarize newly admitted first-year students with the university. The event took place in the assembly hall of the university’s main academic building and began with a one-minute silence in memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, followed by the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the MSU Anthem.

Opening the event with a welcoming speech, the Rector’s Advisor for Social Affairs, Elvin Mammadzade, congratulated the first-year students on earning the title of university students and wished them success in their academic journey. He also provided brief information about the university’s values, educational quality, and the opportunities created for student development.

Ilhama Mammadova, Head of the Department for Student Affairs and Event Organization; Izani Sariyev, Head of the Examination Division; Lamiya Ibrahimova, Chief Specialist of the Quality Assurance and Sustainable Development Department; Babek Husiyev, lecturer at the Department of Business and Management; and Aslan Azimzade, Chairperson of the Student Youth Organization, presented detailed information about the university’s structural units, student life, volunteering opportunities, and social activities. During the question-and-answer session, students received comprehensive explanations regarding topics of interest.

The event continued at the MSU Sports and Wellness Complex, where members of the MSU Student Youth Organization and the “Bir Könüllü” Student Organization organized various games and competitions for the new students. These activities provided opportunities for networking, fostering team spirit, and enjoying a pleasant time together.

At the end of the event, students were directed to the academic buildings related to their fields of study, where faculty representatives informed them about the curriculum, educational process, and university regulations.
