On November 5, 2026, on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of November 8 – Victory Day, a commemorative visit to the Alley of Martyrs and the Martyrs’ Memorial Museum in Mingachevir was organized by the Business Relations and Alumni Affairs Department and the Public Relations and Marketing Department of Mingachevir State University (MSU), with the participation of student volunteers from the “Bir Könüllü” (“One Volunteer”) Student Organization.
The primary purpose of the visit was to honor the cherished memory of the heroes who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, while strengthening the values of patriotism, national unity, and commitment to historical memory among young people.
At the Alley of Martyrs, participants laid flowers on the graves of the fallen heroes and paid tribute to their memory with profound respect. Subsequently, the students visited the Martyrs’ Memorial Museum, where they explored historical exhibits, personal belongings of the martyrs, and materials documenting their heroic lives and sacrifices.
The visit played an important role in strengthening the younger generation’s commitment to national and moral values, preserving the historical legacy of Azerbaijan’s Victory, and passing the nation’s heritage of heroism on to future generations.
It should be noted that Mingachevir State University places particular emphasis on initiatives aimed at fostering civic responsibility, national identity awareness, and a spirit of patriotism among its students.
