On the occasion of November 8 – Victory Day and November 9 – National Flag Day, students of Mingachevir State University (MSU) visited the Heydar Aliyev Center in Mingachevir.
The primary purpose of the visit was to familiarize the younger generation with the rich statehood legacy of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and his historic contributions to strengthening Azerbaijan’s independence and developing national traditions of statehood, while fostering patriotism, national identity, and commitment to the values of statehood among students.
During the visit, the students explored historical exhibits displayed at the Center, including photographs, paintings, and other materials reflecting various stages of the National Leader’s life and activities. Through these exhibitions, they gained valuable insights into Heydar Aliyev’s exceptional role in Azerbaijan’s political, socio-economic, and cultural development, as well as his contributions to safeguarding state independence and strengthening national unity.
The visit also highlighted the historic role of the National Leader in restoring the tricolor flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan as a symbol of national statehood, along with the importance of continuing his statehood policy under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
The visit, which held particular significance in preserving national memory, promoting the legacy of statehood, and introducing the contributions of prominent historical figures to the younger generation, helped students develop a deeper understanding of Azerbaijan’s history of independence and Victory.
It should be noted that Mingachevir State University places particular emphasis on organizing educational, cultural, and public events aimed at strengthening young people’s commitment to national and moral values, enhancing their sense of civic responsibility, and fostering respect for the country’s historical heritage.
