On November 3, 2026, Anar Eminov, Rector of Mingachevir State University (MSU), met with students who participated in Azerbaijan’s Patriotic War and are currently pursuing higher education at the university. Guided by the principles of social responsibility, equal opportunities, and student-centered governance, the meeting aimed to strengthen attention to the educational needs and social well-being of war veterans, discuss opportunities to support their academic and personal development, and promote mutual trust and inclusivity within the university community.

During the meeting, Rector Anar Eminov emphasized the profound moral significance of the courage, heroism, and dedication demonstrated by young people who defended Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. He noted that facilitating the integration of Patriotic War veterans into higher education, developing their knowledge and skills, expanding their professional career opportunities, and enabling them to realize their potential as active members of society hold a special place in the university’s approach to social responsibility.

The Rector highlighted the importance of providing continuous attention, care, and support to student veterans of the Patriotic War, particularly in promoting their academic achievements and social well-being. Anar Eminov stressed that responding sensitively to each student’s individual needs, ensuring equal opportunities throughout the educational process, and encouraging active participation in university life are essential characteristics of a modern higher education environment.

The meeting continued in an atmosphere of interactive discussion, during which the proposals and requests of student veterans were heard, and their questions were addressed. An open dialogue provided students with an opportunity to share their views on the educational process, academic development, support mechanisms, and participation in university social life. The importance of responding attentively to the issues raised and maintaining direct communication with students was particularly emphasized.

The meeting also underscored the importance of developing the university not only as a higher education institution that provides knowledge and professional competencies but also as an academic community that promotes social solidarity, respect for human dignity, mutual support, and civic responsibility.

It should be noted that Mingachevir State University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen student-centered governance, social inclusion, equal opportunities, and individualized support for students from vulnerable social groups constitute an integral part of its institutional approach to human capital development and social sustainability.

In this context, the meeting with student veterans of the Patriotic War represents a meaningful reflection of the university’s commitment to these values, while also reinforcing an open, inclusive, and trust-based communication environment between university leadership and students.
