On October 31, 2026, Mingachevir State University’s (MSU) Student Affairs Department, Student Youth Organization and Mingachevir Youth House jointly organized an intellectual competition entitled “Victory Cup” dedicated to 8 November – Victory Day. The event was held at Mingachevir Youth House.
The competition aimed to promote the significance of the historic Victory achieved in the Patriotic War among young people, strengthen their commitment to national and moral values, showcase students’ intellectual potential, and broaden their knowledge and horizons. A total of 20 teams participated in the competition.
Organized in the “What? Where? When?” format, the competition featured intense and engaging rounds in which participants demonstrated their knowledge, logical reasoning, analytical thinking and quick decision-making skills. In addition to developing students’ individual knowledge and abilities, the competition was also significant in promoting teamwork, mutual cooperation and a culture of healthy competition.
According to the final results, the winning teams were:
- 1st place – “Parabrain” team
- 2nd place – “Key to Knowledge” team
- 3rd place – “Iceberg” team
The winning teams were congratulated, and outstanding participants were presented with appropriate awards.
The event highlighted the importance of developing young people’s intellectual and creative potential, increasing their civic engagement, promoting the effective use of their leisure time and expanding opportunities for student participation in university life. Such initiatives contribute to strengthening a culture of cooperation, mutual respect, equal opportunities and social integration among students, while also supporting their development as individuals and responsible citizens.
It should be noted that supporting the comprehensive development of students, fostering a high-quality and inclusive educational environment, promoting healthy lifestyles and social well-being, and encouraging student initiatives are among the priority areas of Mingachevir State University’s activities. Intellectual, cultural and social initiatives implemented in this regard contribute to creating an educational environment based on active student engagement and promoting the values of cooperation and sustainable development.
