Expanding Student Internship Opportunities: MSU Signs a New Cooperation Memorandum with Five Institutions

On 24 October 2025, Mingachevir State University (MSU) hosted the “Regional University–Industry Partnership Summit 2025”. As part of the summit, new Memoranda of Cooperation were signed with five institutions to expand internship opportunities and future career prospects for university students.

The new partnerships were formalised with the State Employment Agency (DMA), the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Organizations Association (AKTA), the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan (ASK), the Azerbaijan HR Institute, and the Progress Training and Education Centre.

The Memoranda of Cooperation were signed by MSU Rector Anar Eminov, together with Ramal Guliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the State Employment Agency; Rauf Jabbarov, Executive Director of AKTA; Ziya Hajili, Secretary General of ASK; Emil Huseynov, Founding Director of the Azerbaijan HR Institute; and Professor Mayis Aliyev, representative of the Progress Training and Education Centre.

The signed memoranda provide for the implementation of joint projects, internship programmes and research initiatives between the university and its partner institutions. They also aim to enhance young people’s employment prospects and innovation potential.

Within the framework of these partnerships, practical training programmes focused on students’ professional development, start-up and innovation projects, and the application of modern approaches in human resources and cybersecurity are planned. Furthermore, seminars and masterclasses delivered by experts from partner institutions are envisaged at the university.

In line with the summit’s “From Regional to Global” concept, this initiative contributes to the development of universities not only as educational institutions but also as centres of economic and innovative development in their respective regions.
