Within the framework of the existing cooperation between Mingachevir State University (MSU) and Sharof Rashidov Samarkand State University of the Republic of Uzbekistan, scholars from Samarkand State University have been involved in the educational process at MSU.

Associate Professors Dilbar Yarmatova and Tanzila Majidova from the Department of Ecology and Life Safety of the Faculty of Geographical Ecology at Samarkand State University attended classes organized at MSU’s Faculty of Engineering.

As part of their visit, the Uzbek scholars delivered thematic lectures to students of the EM-24 group. Speaking on “Environmental Problems of Global Warming,” Dilbar Yarmatova discussed the impact of rising global temperatures on ecosystems, the environmental risks caused by climate change, and issues related to environmental protection.

Tanzila Majidova delivered a lecture on “The Greenhouse Effect and the Environmental Consequences of Transport Pollution.” The lecture provided information on the causes of the greenhouse effect, the impact of atmospheric emissions on climate processes, the environmental consequences of pollution originating from the transport sector, and modern approaches applied to reduce these impacts.

During the lectures, the students’ questions on the topics were answered, and views were exchanged on the environmental challenges faced by Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. The interconnected study of such pressing issues as global warming, the use of renewable energy sources, and the environmental impact of transport was significant in terms of developing students’ environmental awareness and modern engineering approaches.

The involvement of guest scholars in MSU’s educational process is of great importance in expanding interuniversity academic cooperation, sharing advanced scientific knowledge and experience, and enabling students to become more closely acquainted with the international academic environment.
