On November 3, 2026, the Career Forum opened with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in partnership with Mingachevir State University (MDU), and organized by the Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations’ Union (ASYOU) and MDU’s Student Youth Organization. The forum aims to raise young people’s awareness of the modern labour market, develop their professional skills, and support their career planning.
MDU Rector Anar Eminov and ASYOU Chairman Rashad Zeynalov delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. Their remarks highlighted the importance of supporting young people’s professional development, aligning the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies with labour market requirements, and ensuring their awareness of career opportunities.
As part of the forum, a panel session entitled “New Generation, New Skills, New Opportunities” was held. The panel explored the changing demands of the modern labour market, the skills essential for young people’s development, and new career opportunities. Alongside professional knowledge, the discussions focused on the role of communication, teamwork, flexible thinking, and adaptability in career development.
A practical training session was then organized for participants. The session provided useful information and recommendations on preparing a CV, using artificial intelligence tools in career planning, building a personal brand, and developing interview skills. Topics included presenting one’s knowledge and skills effectively, defining professional goals, and preparing for the recruitment process.
The event was held in an interactive atmosphere, with participants actively joining the discussions, asking questions, and sharing their views. This exchange of ideas enabled young people to broaden their approaches to career planning and relate the information presented to their own professional development goals.
The forum serves to strengthen young people’s readiness for the labour market, develop their digital and social skills, and support their transition from education to employment.
