A delegation led by Mingachevir State University (MSU) Rector Anar Eminov is representing the university at the “UI GreenMetric Sustainable University Rankings 2026 Results & Awards Ceremony,” held in Baku on September 23–25, 2026.

Hosted by Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, the event brings together university leaders, academics, sustainability experts and higher education representatives from around the world. The programme includes panel discussions and workshops on the sustainable university model, green campus approaches, climate responsibility, efficient management of water and energy resources, digital sustainability and sustainable development in higher education. It also includes the ECO-SYNERGY 2026 international scientific conference.

One of the event’s main highlights is the announcement of the UI GreenMetric 2026 results and the awards ceremony, scheduled for September 24. Based on the 2026 UI GreenMetric Sustainable University Rankings results, Mingachevir State University is among the top 10 universities in Azerbaijan set to receive an award. The final positions of Azerbaijani universities will be officially announced at the awards ceremony.

MSU’s participation in the event reflects its continued efforts in sustainable development, the green university approach and strengthening its position in international rankings.
