Rector of Mingachevir State University (MSU) Anar Eminov met with a group of students who will study for one semester at higher education institutions in Turkic states during the 2026/2027 academic year within the framework of the “Orhun Exchange Program.”
Heads of the relevant structural units of the University also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, which was held in an open and friendly atmosphere, discussions focused on the students’ participation in the exchange program, the upcoming academic process, their adaptation to new academic and cultural environments, as well as the effective use of the opportunities offered by the program.
Rector Anar Eminov congratulated the students on being selected for international exchange and noted that international academic mobility plays an important role in developing students’ professional knowledge and skills, introducing them to different educational models, broadening their perspectives, and helping them gain international experience. The Rector expressed confidence that the students would represent MSU with distinction during their exchange period and wished them success in their studies.
The importance of maintaining continuous communication with MSU while studying at foreign universities was also emphasized during the meeting. It was noted that supporting exchange students in academic and organizational matters, monitoring their educational progress, and promptly addressing any issues that may arise will remain a constant priority for the University.
It should be noted that the scope of student mobility under the “Orhun Exchange Program” at MSU continues to expand from year to year. During the 2025/2026 academic year, 10 students from the University participated in the exchange program. In the 2026/2027 academic year, 56 MSU students are expected to participate in the “Orhun Exchange Program.” One group of students will study at partner universities during the first semester of the current academic year, while another group will participate during the second semester.
Some of the participants in the program for the current academic year have already departed for their respective countries to begin their studies under the exchange program. One MSU student has started the academic process at Kokand University in Uzbekistan, while another has begun studying at Anadolu University in Türkiye.
Thus, compared with the previous academic year, the number of MSU students expected to participate in the “Orhun Exchange Program” has increased three- to fourfold. This positive trend is regarded as a result of the University’s efforts to broaden students’ access to international academic opportunities, enable them to gain experience in diverse educational and cultural environments, and strengthen integration with the higher education area of the Turkic world.
