On August 31, 2026, Rector of Mingachevir State University Anar Eminov met with candidates who achieved successful results in the competition held for academic positions at the university.

For the 2026/2027 academic year, Mingachevir State University announced vacancies for a total of 131 faculty positions. Within the framework of the competition, candidates for the positions of lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor, and professor were evaluated based on their academic and pedagogical experience, professional qualifications, and compliance with the relevant requirements.

As a result of the competition, the successful candidates included current university employees who applied to advance to the next stage of their academic careers, faculty members who participated in the competition again following the expiration of their employment contracts, as well as specialists applying to the university for the first time. In total, more than 80 new candidates and more than 50 university employees achieved successful results in the competition.

The formation of the new academic staff also envisages attracting representatives of industry and the real sector from various fields to the university. This approach will contribute to strengthening the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical experience, preparing students in line with the current demands of the labor market, and expanding new opportunities for university-industry cooperation.

During the meeting, Rector Anar Eminov congratulated the successful candidates and expressed his confidence that they would contribute to the university’s teaching, research, and community engagement activities. The Rector emphasized that the professional and academic development of faculty members plays an important role in strengthening the university’s institutional capacity and wished them success in their academic and pedagogical careers.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on the development of a modern educational environment at the university, strengthening research activities, expanding relations with the labor market, and making more effective use of the academic and professional potential of the faculty.
