Mingachevir State University announces vacancies for highly qualified, professional, innovative, and internationally oriented academic staff to teach in the newly established English-medium undergraduate and master’s degree programmes for the 2026–2027 academic year.

The vacancies involve teaching relevant courses in English, preparing modern teaching and learning materials, applying student-centred instructional methods, and actively contributing to the University’s internationalisation agenda.

Available Fields

Undergraduate Level

• Computer Science;
• Tourism Management.

Master’s Level

• International Finance;
• Tourism Management.

Main Requirements for Applicants

• A minimum of a master’s degree in the relevant or a closely related field;
• Teaching, academic, research, or relevant professional experience;
• Strong theoretical knowledge and practical expertise in the subject area;
• The ability to teach relevant courses fluently and effectively in English;
• Compliance with at least one of the following English-language proficiency requirements:
  • A minimum IELTS Academic score of 6.5;
  • A minimum TOEFL iBT score of 79 or a minimum overall score of 4.5 under the scoring scale introduced from 21 January 2026;
  • Completion of undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral studies at a foreign higher education institution where the language of instruction was English;
  • Possession of an official document confirming that the applicant’s previous programme of study was delivered in English;
• Proficiency in modern teaching methods, digital learning platforms, and innovative educational technologies;
• The ability to prepare course programmes, syllabi, presentations, teaching materials, and assessment tools in English;
• A student-centred approach and strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills;
• Commitment to academic ethics and the corporate values of the University.

Possession of an academic degree or title, study or teaching experience at a foreign higher education institution, participation in international projects and academic mobility programmes, and publications in highly indexed international academic journals will be considered an advantage.

For applicants seeking to teach at the master’s level, preference will be given to candidates with an academic degree, research experience, and relevant professional or industry experience.
