A delegation of Mingachevir State University (MSU) held high-level academic and scientific meetings at leading higher education institutions in Ankara and Düzce as part of an official visit to Türkiye.
According to AZERTAC, the main objective of the visit was to expand research collaboration within the Azerbaijan–Türkiye higher education space, strengthen an innovation-driven academic environment, and deepen scientific integration among universities of the Turkic world.
As part of the visit, the delegation’s first meeting took place at Gazi University.
During the meeting, the parties extensively discussed prospects for advancing existing scientific and institutional cooperation. Particular attention was given to organizing joint research in fields such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, engineering sciences, and applied technologies, as well as establishing joint scientific laboratories and developing dual-degree programs.
Representing MSU, the delegation included Director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies Aida Mustafayeva, Head of the International Relations and Cooperation Department Samira Ahmadova, and Associate Professor of the Department of Humanities Asim Mammadov. The discussions resulted in agreements on implementing joint scientific supervision mechanisms and promoting co-authored academic publications.
In the next stage of the visit, the delegation met with representatives of Duzce University.
The meetings highlighted significant outcomes in advancing applied research across tourism, economics, engineering, and digital innovation. During the visit, the MSU delegation became acquainted with Düzce University’s modern research infrastructure, technological laboratories, and its innovation model based on university–industry integration. Discussions focused on expanding practical-oriented scientific cooperation, knowledge transfer, and applied research initiatives.
Additionally, concrete agreements were reached on strengthening institutional research collaboration, organizing joint international conferences, co-authoring scientific articles, and integrating innovation ecosystems between the two universities.
It should be noted that under the leadership of Rector Anar Eminov, MSU has established a consistent and systematic development trajectory in international academic cooperation, making a significant contribution to scientific integration within the Turkic world. Through this approach, the university continues to expand its partnerships with leading Turkish higher education institutions, thereby supporting deeper scientific collaboration between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
