The implementation of the “Sovereign Youth: Heroes of the 44-Day War” project continues successfully in successive stages. The project, a winner of the grant competition announced by the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty,” is being implemented in partnership with Mingachevir State University (MSU) and the University Student Youth Organization. As part of the project, new activities have been organized to strengthen patriotism among young people, promote constitutional values, and deepen their understanding of the historical significance of Azerbaijan’s Victory in the 44-Day Patriotic War.

In accordance with the project’s activity plan, an intellectual competition was organized for the participating students. The questions comprehensively covered the project’s main themes, including the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the concepts of statehood and sovereignty, national and moral values, the course and outcomes of the 44-Day Patriotic War, the political, legal, and national significance of the historic Victory, as well as key milestones in Azerbaijan’s heroic history. The competition provided participants with an opportunity to strengthen their knowledge while enhancing teamwork, critical thinking, rapid decision-making, and communication skills in a healthy competitive environment.

The interactive format of the event encouraged active participation from the students. Question-and-answer sessions and discussions helped participants develop a deeper understanding of the topics covered. At the conclusion of the competition, the results were announced, and the most active teams and participants were recognized for their achievements.

As part of the project activities, a meeting of the Public Oversight Commission (POC) was also held to ensure that the project is implemented transparently, systematically, and in line with its objectives. During the meeting, the Commission reviewed the progress achieved during the current stage of the project, evaluated the implementation of activities against the approved action plan, assessed participant engagement, discussed preliminary outcomes, and considered the activities planned for the next phase.
