On December 15, 2025, a Protocol of Intent on Cooperation was signed between Mingachevir State University and the Mingachevir Municipality. The protocol was signed by Azad Mirzabayov, Head of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department of MSU, and Anar Ismayilov, Chairman of the Mingachevir Municipality.
The signed document предусматривает the establishment and development of mutual cooperation between the parties, particularly expanding joint activities in the areas of sustainable urban development, environmental protection, and public awareness.
According to the Protocol of Intent, the parties will cooperate in developing and implementing joint projects on proper waste management, sorting, and recycling, increasing urban greenery and establishing new parks, organizing tree-planting campaigns, and conducting environmental awareness initiatives.
At the same time, the document envisages conducting scientific research in the field of environmental protection, applying innovative approaches, supporting initiatives on energy efficiency and efficient use of resources, as well as implementing joint measures for the protection and sustainable use of water resources.
The protocol also covers the promotion of volunteer activities, the involvement of students in social and community-based projects, and the practical development of university–local government cooperation.
It should be noted that, under the document, the parties will provide the necessary organizational support for the implementation of the envisaged activities, exchange relevant information, and combine their efforts to enhance the effectiveness of joint initiatives.
