“Science, education, and industry must work together.” In his speech delivered at the conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences on November 3, 2025, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that “today, science must be integrated with production, education, and industry, and the research conducted by scientists should serve the development of the real economy and the future of the country.” The head of state called on government institutions, universities, and the scientific community to cooperate closely in this direction and to ensure the practical application of scientific achievements through active participation in industrial, technological, and production projects.
Within the framework of the existing cooperation between Mingachevir State University and Azerbaijan TPP LLC, several practice-oriented courses for the specialties of Energy Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering are conducted at the station’s Training Center in accordance with the practical development of education.
Accordingly, on November 28, 2025, an open lesson for the “Enm24” and “Eem22” groups was organized at the Training Center of the station. The lessons were taught by Gadir Mammadli, a young lecturer of the Department of Energy Engineering at MDU and an employee of the station.
He presented visual examples related to the application of theoretical knowledge in a real industrial environment and paid special attention to strengthening the students’ professional training.
Employees of the station and a group of academic staff members from Mingachevir State University also participated in the lesson held in the industrial environment, and the presentations prepared by the students were received with great interest. It was noted that the students enhanced their knowledge regarding the production process, the operating principles of energy equipment, and real operational conditions.
This cooperation established between Mingachevir State University and Azerbaijan TPP LLC makes a significant contribution to the development of students’ practical skills as well as to the further strengthening of university–industry relations.
