A Chemistry Olympiad was organized at Mingachevir State University by the Department of Physics and Ecology on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the birth of prominent scientist and academician Yusif Mammadaliyev, who made significant contributions to the development of chemical science.

At the beginning of the event, participants were informed about the academician’s life and scientific activities, as well as the decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev regarding the anniversary celebration.

Students majoring in Chemistry, Chemistry and Biology Teaching, Physics Teaching, Ecology, and Ecological Engineering participated in the Olympiad. In total, 50 students tested their knowledge during the competition.

The Olympiad questions consisted of 15 tasks prepared in both test and written-answer formats. Participants were given 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the tasks.

At the conclusion of the Olympiad, the results of the participants were evaluated, and the presentation of corresponding certificates was planned.
