On September 29, 2026, two consecutive training sessions on “Career Planning” and “Proper CV Preparation” were held for students by the Internship and Career Department of Mingachevir State University (MSU) to strengthen their preparation for the labor market.
The sessions were led by Ulviyya Rustamli and Arzu Khalilova, employees of the Central Career Branch of the State Employment Agency.
During the session on “Career Planning,” Ulviyya Rustamli provided students with detailed information on assessing their interests and abilities, setting professional goals, and planning development steps aligned with those goals. She emphasized the importance of continuously developing practical and professional skills alongside theoretical knowledge, as well as keeping track of changes and requirements in the labor market, to build a successful career.
Speaking on “Proper CV Preparation,” Arzu Khalilova introduced students to the principles of preparing an effective CV. The session offered practical advice on the main sections of a CV, how to present education and work experience, how to highlight skills relevant to the requirements of a vacancy, and common mistakes made in job applications. Particular emphasis was placed on presenting information in a CV concisely, clearly, in a structured manner, and in an easy-to-read format.
During the interactive sessions, students’ questions were answered, and participants exchanged views on career planning and the job application process.
The main purpose of the training sessions was to help students identify their future career paths, develop job search and application skills, and build professional competencies that meet the requirements of the changing labor market.
These activities contribute to the development of a student-centered learning environment at MSU, expand young people’s employment opportunities, and help them enter the labor market as better-prepared and more competitive professionals.
