On September 28, 2026, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Mingachevir State University (MSU) and “Mingachevir Textile” Limited Liability Company (LLC). During the meeting, the existing and prospective areas of cooperation between the University and the Sustainable Energy and Engineering Systems Research Institute operating under its auspices, the expansion of joint research activities, as well as new opportunities for cooperation in the coming period were discussed in detail.
During the discussions, particular attention was paid to conducting applied research reflecting the needs and areas of activity of “Mingachevir Textile” LLC, expanding university–industry cooperation, and integrating research outcomes into the real production environment. As one of the main areas of cooperation, the establishment of a modern laboratory at MSU reflecting the fields of activity of “Mingachevir Textile” LLC was considered. The laboratory is intended to strengthen students’ practical training, facilitate applied research, support the study of new technologies, and reinforce the institutional foundations of university–industry cooperation.
In addition, opportunities for the preparation and implementation of joint research projects, the identification of master’s thesis topics based on the current challenges and technological needs of “Mingachevir Textile” LLC, and the organization of internships and practical training for students within the company’s production and technological environment were discussed. The parties agreed that the cooperation would not be limited solely to education and the exchange of practical experience but would also focus on applied research, innovation, technology transfer, and the development of scientifically grounded solutions to industrial challenges.
This cooperation is expected to contribute to the development of industry-oriented research at MSU, the formation of students’ practical and professional competencies in line with labour market requirements, as well as the further strengthening of university–industry–research institute cooperation.
The Memorandum, which will remain in force for a period of five years, will contribute to the development of long-term cooperation between MSU and the industrial sector and strengthen students’ practical training in line with the requirements of the modern labour market.
