Greeting of Rector Anar Eminov on the Occasion of Eid al-Adha

  • Post category:NEWS

Eid al-Adha is a symbol of self-sacrifice, spiritual purity, and closeness to sacred ideals, and it also serves to strengthen unity and solidarity within society. Throughout history, the Azerbaijani people have remained faithful to the pure moral values of Islam, preserving this holiday as an integral part of our national-spiritual identity and embodying its wisdom in their lives.

Islam, with its democratic, humanistic, and universal ideals, represents a significant chapter in world civilization and has played an exceptional role in shaping the worldview of our people and in the development of our national and cultural identity. Progressive Islamic values and traditions have always been held in high esteem in Azerbaijan.

Eid al-Adha is marked by the completion of Islam as a religion and its being bestowed upon humanity as a path of spiritual and moral salvation. On this holy day, Muslims experience the joy of closeness to Almighty God and devotion to divine values, demonstrating their readiness for any sacrifice in the pursuit of noble goals. The Eid rituals, celebrated with great splendor every year in our country, further strengthen the spirit of equality and tolerance in society, becoming a vivid manifestation of national-spiritual solidarity, humanism and brotherhood, as well as feelings of benevolence and compassion.

It is a source of pride that during this festive period, in liberated Karabakh, our compatriots are celebrating the joy of returning to their native lands and performing sacrifices in their ancestral homelands. On this blessed day, I respectfully commemorate the memory of our martyrs who gave their lives for the independence of Azerbaijan and the territorial integrity of our lands.

With prayers for acceptance in the presence of Almighty God of the sacrifices offered and the prayers made for the peace and prosperity of our people and state, I extend my sincere congratulations to all our compatriots living in different parts of the world. With the wish that this holiday brings prosperity and happiness to every family, abundance to every table, and fulfillment of every heartfelt wish,

Eid al-Adha Mubarak!

Respectfully,
Anar Eminov
