On March 11–12, 2026, the “Novruz Cup” futsal tournament among students of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions was held in the city of Ganja, organized by the Azerbaijan Student Football Federation Public Union.

The team of Mingachevir State University also successfully participated in the tournament. As a result of the competitions, which were held in an atmosphere of intense and exciting sporting rivalry, the MSU team demonstrated a high level of performance and was awarded 3rd place.

At Mingachevir State University, protecting students’ physical health, increasing their interest in sports, strengthening team spirit, and promoting a healthy lifestyle remain among the university’s priority areas. In this regard, the participation of university students in national-level competitions makes an important contribution both to their personal development and to strengthening the university’s sporting reputation.

It should be noted that the “Novruz Cup” futsal tournament serves as an important platform for the development of friendly relations among students, the formation of a healthy competitive environment, and the productive organization of young people’s leisure time. This achievement once again demonstrated the sporting potential and team unity of MSU students.
