A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Mingachevir State University and the Azerbaijan-Turkey Businessmen Association.

On July 24, 2025, a Memorandum of Cooperation on joint collaboration was signed between Mingachevir State University (MSU) and the Azerbaijan-Turkey Businessmen Association (ATIB). The document was signed by the Rector of MSU, Anar Eminov, and the Chairman of the Board of ATIB, Mursal Rustamov.

On the occasion of signing the memorandum, a delegation led by Rector Anar Eminov visited the ATIB headquarters. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on future cooperation and discussed opportunities to advance university–industry collaboration to a new level.

Rector Anar Eminov emphasized that enhancing students’ practical skills and supporting their successful transition into the labor market are among the university’s strategic priorities. He noted that close cooperation with business representatives plays a vital role in achieving these goals and described the memorandum signed with ATIB as an important step toward strengthening university–industry integration. The Rector also expressed his gratitude for the opportunities created through this partnership and stated his confidence that the cooperation would contribute to the socio-economic development of the region.

ATIB Chairman Mursal Rustamov highlighted the Association’s long-standing commitment to cooperation with higher education institutions and provided information about its activities. He praised MSU’s modern development strategy and its focus on preparing graduates with skills aligned with labor market needs, expressing confidence that the partnership would create mutual benefits for both students and the business community.

Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties agreed to cooperate in several areas, including providing internship opportunities for students at ATIB member companies, organizing career and job fairs, involving business professionals in teaching activities, supporting startup and innovation initiatives, implementing trilateral projects with Turkish partners, establishing scholarship programs, and organizing joint scientific and practical events.

The memorandum will also strengthen cooperation between MSU and ATIB member companies by creating opportunities for professional development programs, enhancing students’ and staff members’ career growth, and expanding collaboration with the business sector.

Furthermore, the parties agreed to organize meetings between ATIB member companies and MSU students and staff during September–October 2025, while continuing discussions on graduate employment opportunities in Mingachevir.

It should be noted that the signed Memorandum of Cooperation aims to establish a sustainable and mutually beneficial partnership between the university and the business community, while making a significant contribution to strengthening university–industry integration and supporting regional economic development in Azerbaijan.
