STUDENT YOUTH ORGANIZATION
The Student Youth Organization (SYO) of Mingachevir State University is a student body that operates based on the common interests of students and the principles of volunteerism. The organization supports the protection of students’ rights and interests, promotes their intellectual and personal development, and encourages active participation in the social and academic life of the university. It also contributes to the effective organization of students’ leisure time and strengthens cooperation and interaction among student groups and faculties.
OUR MISSION
The main mission of the Student Youth Organization is to represent and protect the interests of students within the framework of the state youth policy. The organization aims to support the active involvement of students in the social, cultural, and academic life of the university and society, while creating opportunities for their personal and professional development.
OUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuring the protection of students’ rights and interests.
- Addressing and assisting in the resolution of students’ problems.
- Conducting awareness and educational initiatives among students.
- Organizing students’ leisure time in a productive and engaging way.
- Studying students’ needs and proposing appropriate solutions.
- Establishing clubs, courses, and other initiatives to support students’ interests, talents, and intellectual development.
- Organizing competitions, seminars, festivals, forums, meetings, exhibitions, campaigns, round tables, scientific conferences, training programs, discussion clubs, symposiums, meetings with distinguished personalities, and other student-centered events.
OUR CLUBS
The Book Club – operates with the aim of forming a reading culture among students, increasing interest in artistic and scientific literature, and developing critical thinking and discussion skills. In addition to strengthening reading habits, the club serves to broaden the students’ worldview and raise their intellectual level.
The Intellectual Games Club – operates to develop students’ logical thinking, increase their knowledge level and form a healthy competitive environment. The club is aimed at effectively organizing students’ leisure time, as well as strengthening their analytical thinking, quick decision-making and teamwork skills.
The Sports Club – operates to strengthen the physical health of students, promote a healthy lifestyle and effectively organize youth leisure time. The club serves to increase interest in sports among students, form team spirit and create a healthy competitive environment.
The Debate Club – operates to develop students’ critical thinking skills, form a culture of speech, and increase their ability to objectively think about public issues. The club instills in students the culture of expressing their positions in a well-founded manner, presenting arguments, and respecting the opinions of the other party.
The Conversation Club – operates with the aim of developing students’ communication skills in foreign languages, applying language knowledge in a practical environment and forming their ability to speak confidently. The club provides students with the opportunity to gain speaking experience in a free and comfortable environment, expand their vocabulary and develop correct pronunciation skills.
The CreART Club – operates with the aim of revealing the creative potential of students, increasing interest in art and developing aesthetic thinking. The club creates conditions for young people to demonstrate their skills in painting, design, handicrafts and various creative fields.
The Entertainment Club – operates with the aim of organizing students’ leisure time effectively and interestingly, increasing social activity and forming a positive, dynamic environment within the university. The club organizes various entertaining and interactive events to strengthen students’ communication with each other, relieve stress and strengthen their collective spirit.
