On November 13–14, 2025, the IV International Scientific-Practical Conference titled “Modern Problems of Geography: Integration of Science and Education” was held at the Institute of Geography named after Academician Hasan Aliyev under the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan. The conference was organized within the framework of the declaration of 2025 as the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty” in the Republic of Azerbaijan and on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Institute of Geography.
Scientists, researchers, and specialists from local and international universities participated in the opening and plenary sessions of the conference, discussing modern challenges in geographical science, regional development, ecosystem management, and new directions in the integration of science and education.
Representing Mingachevir State University, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Business and Management, PhD in Economics Ruhiyya Huseynova delivered a presentation during the sectional session on the topic “Resource Potential of Social Infrastructure Areas in the Socio-Economic Development of Regions and Solving Management Problems.” The report scientifically analyzed sustainable regional development priorities, efficient use of resource potential, existing approaches to managing social infrastructure, and innovative management models.
Ruhiyya Huseynova also informed participants about the scientific research carried out at the university in recent years, the expansion of international scientific cooperation opportunities, and the modern scientific environment created at Mingachevir State University for researcher-lecturers.
In addition to the article and presentation, the author also shared information with conference participants about her previous scientific studies, research articles, and teaching materials related to regional development, management of socio-economic processes, and innovative economic mechanisms.
