Financial Assistance for the Development of Sustainable Businesses through the ENGAGE Project

Mingachevir State University (MSU), as the coordinator of the European Union-funded ENGAGE project, contributes to the promotion of women’s entrepreneurship and the development of financially and socially sustainable businesses within the community.

Within the framework of the project, direct grant assistance was provided to support women’s entrepreneurship. This financial assistance is significant in strengthening women’s economic participation and supporting the establishment and development of sustainable business activities.

In addition to financial support, the ENGAGE project has facilitated awareness-raising activities related to entrepreneurship and career development. On 7 October 2025, an awareness-raising meeting entitled “Build Your Future, Women: First Steps in Entrepreneurship and Career Development” was held at Baku Business University. The meeting was initiated by the Azerbaijan Women Entrepreneurs Development Association (AWEA) and organised with the institutional support of the host university. The event provided participants with an opportunity to learn from experienced entrepreneurs and discuss entrepreneurship and career development opportunities.
