Mingachevir State University (MSU) has achieved another significant milestone in the international higher education landscape. The University has been awarded the highest rating of 5 Stars in four key categories of the QS Stars international assessment system, conducted by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), one of the world’s leading higher education analytics companies. The QS Stars system evaluates higher education institutions against a range of criteria, including teaching quality, international engagement, employer reputation, governance, infrastructure, and sustainable development performance.
This achievement in the international assessment reflects the University’s systematic efforts to enhance teaching quality, introduce modern governance mechanisms, foster an inclusive academic environment, and expand employment opportunities for its graduates.
MSU achieved the highest rating in the following four categories:

The University’s efforts to support graduates’ integration into the labour market, expand career development opportunities, provide education and training aligned with labour market demands, and strengthen cooperation with employers received high recognition.
In its first participation in the QS Stars international assessment, Mingachevir State University achieved an overall rating of 4 Stars. This result represents a significant milestone in the University’s institutional development, the enhancement of its international competitiveness, and its integration into the global higher education landscape.
The results demonstrate MSU’s strong performance among Azerbaijani higher education institutions participating in the QS Stars assessment system. Achieving the highest rating in four categories is particularly significant for the development of regional higher education, as MSU is one of the universities operating outside the capital.
