On October 16, 2026, Mingachevir State University (MSU) held an awareness-raising meeting titled “Know Your Rights, Understand Your Responsibilities” to increase students’ awareness of their rights and responsibilities, strengthen their legal literacy and foster a responsible civic outlook.

At the meeting, Polad Atayev, MSU’s legal adviser, provided information on students’ rights and responsibilities, legal liability, respect for the law and the prevention of legal violations. He highlighted the role of legal awareness in making informed decisions in everyday life and protecting one’s rights.

The meeting was held in an interactive format. Students’ questions were answered, and participants exchanged views on the topic. They learned about the relationship between rights and responsibilities, the importance of acting in accordance with the law and the need to comply with legal standards.

Meetings of this kind, which support the development of students’ legal reasoning and understanding of the balance between rights and responsibilities, help strengthen a well-informed, safe and mutually respectful social environment at the university. MSU continues its awareness-raising activities to support the development of students’ legal literacy and civic responsibility.
