On 13 October 2026, a seminar for students on “The impact of inclusive development strategies on student well-being and income levels” was held at Mingachevir State University (MDU). Mehriban Karimova, a lecturer at the Department of Economics, delivered a presentation on the topic.
The seminar noted that inclusive development strategies support equal access to quality education and essential resources for every student, regardless of their socioeconomic background. It was emphasised that support measures such as providing textbooks, technological equipment and accommodation for students with limited financial means can ease financial concerns, while an accessible learning environment contributes to students’ social and psychological well-being. The role of mentoring and personalised learning approaches in academic achievement was also highlighted.
The discussion also examined the impact of inclusive education on students’ future employment and income opportunities. The development of digital literacy and foreign language skills, along with expanded access to internships and mentoring, were identified as factors that strengthen students’ readiness for the labour market and their career prospects. Participants exchanged views on the potential contribution of these approaches to social mobility and reducing income inequality.
The seminar aimed to raise awareness of the links between inclusive development, student well-being, academic achievement and future economic opportunities, and to highlight the importance of an equitable and accessible learning environment.
