On October 7, 2026, Anar Eminov, Rector of Mingachevir State University (MDU), met with members of the new board of the Student Youth Organization (SYO).

The rector got acquainted with the new board members, congratulated them and wished them success in their work. Anar Eminov emphasized the importance of conducting the organization’s activities in accordance with the principles of fairness, transparency and objectivity. He expressed confidence that the new board would make a sustained contribution to the university’s modernization and the development of student life. The rector encouraged students to achieve strong academic results while also participating actively in the university’s public life.

Ravan Nasirov, the newly appointed chair of the SYO, outlined the organization’s upcoming plans. He stated that the new board would begin its activities shortly and that meetings would be held across all university faculties to strengthen engagement with students.

The board members thanked the university leadership for its attention to and support for students’ all-round development. Discussing the organization’s planned activities, goals and expectations, they affirmed their commitment to working responsibly and living up to the trust placed in them.

During the meeting, participants exchanged views on new projects planned by the SYO. The rector listened to the students’ proposals, expressed support for the proposed areas of activity and offered recommendations.

MDU places particular emphasis on students’ active representation in university governance, involvement in volunteering and participation in the public life of Mingachevir. This approach helps develop young people’s initiative and leadership skills, strengthen their sense of social responsibility and support student-led initiatives.
