A group of staff members of Mingachevir State University visited the “BioGarden” eco-agro tourism farm located in Oryat village of Sheki district under the slogan “MSU Green Breath – Unity Day in Nature”.
The main purpose of the visit was to strengthen team spirit among university staff, promote ecological thinking, support a healthy lifestyle and a culture of recreation in harmony with nature, as well as to continue MSU’s green campus, sustainable development and social responsibility approaches in an informal environment.
During the “Unity Day in Nature”, held in the heart of nature, MSU staff members became acquainted with the territory of “BioGarden”, walked through green areas, and received general information about the agro-ecological farm model, fruit orchards, areas where birds and animals are kept, as well as recreation and service infrastructure. Within the framework of the visit, sincere discussions were held among staff members, and various informal activities were organized to strengthen team communication and collective solidarity.
The program also included outdoor sports and recreational activities. Staff members played volleyball in nature, took part in board games, and exchanged views in an informal setting around a shared lunch table. These activities contributed both to the formation of a positive communication environment among staff members and to the promotion of healthy and active recreation traditions outside the workplace.
The visit was organized in line with MSU’s principles of sustainable development, its “green thinking” approach, and activities aligned with international environmental initiatives. The promotion of values such as environmental responsibility, efficient use of resources, healthy campus life, sensitive attitudes toward nature, and collective well-being at the university resonates with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to good health and well-being, quality education, sustainable communities, responsible consumption, and climate action.
At the same time, such initiatives contribute to the ecological awareness of staff members, the strengthening of sustainable lifestyle habits through direct contact with nature, and the development of a social and psychological well-being environment within the university as part of MSU’s “green campus” concept.
“MSU Green Breath – Unity Day in Nature” was a memorable experience for university staff members in terms of recreation, team building, and the practical promotion of ecological thinking. The event demonstrated that MSU’s activities aimed at a sustainable future are not limited only to classrooms and the campus environment, but also serve to establish a balanced connection between nature, society, and human well-being.
