On March 7, 2026, a book discussion dedicated to March 8 – International Women’s Day was held at the Mingachevir Youth House. The event was organized by the Book Club operating under the Student Youth Organization of Mingachevir State University.
Within the framework of the discussion, participants exchanged views on the work “If a Woman Smiles…” by Huseyn Javid. Students who attended the event shared their thoughts on the content and main idea of the work, as well as on the representation of the theme of women in literature, engaging in active discussions around the topic.
During the discussion, various perspectives were expressed regarding the social and moral issues raised in the work, the role of women in society, and the presentation of literary characters. Students also analyzed the ideological and thematic aspects of the piece.
It was noted that such discussions contribute significantly to promoting a reading culture among students, developing young people’s analytical thinking and literary analysis skills, and encouraging discussions of relevant social issues from the perspective of youth.
It should be noted that Mingachevir State University regularly organizes various literary and educational events aimed at supporting students’ intellectual development, strengthening their reading habits, and increasing their social engagement.
