The first phase of the “The Volunteer Voice of Return” project, implemented with the support of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan under the grant competition announced within the framework of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty,” has been successfully completed.

The project aims to enhance the legal knowledge of internally displaced young people (IDPs), strengthen their advocacy and civic engagement skills, promote networking across different regions, and encourage their active participation in the Great Return process as valuable contributors to society. The initiative seeks to empower young people to become not only well-informed but also proactive and responsible members of their communities.

As part of the first phase, an educational training session entitled “The Legal Status of Internally Displaced Persons and Return Procedures” was delivered by Mushfig Tariverdiyev.

During the training, participants gained comprehensive knowledge of the legal status of internally displaced persons, state support mechanisms, social protection measures, property rights, and the legal procedures associated with the Great Return initiative. The topic was presented through practical discussions and real-life case studies, while legal simulations enabled participants to apply the knowledge they had acquired in realistic scenarios.

This stage of the project represented an important step toward improving participants’ legal literacy and preparing them to play an active role in the return process as informed, supportive, and socially engaged young citizens.

The training, organized under the leadership of Project Manager Gorkhmaz Rahimli, contributed significantly to strengthening participants’ legal awareness, civic responsibility, and commitment to active community engagement.
