On March 5, 2026, Mingachevir State University hosted an intergroup university futsal championship dedicated to Physical Education and Sports Day within the framework of the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture”.
The competition was organized in line with MSU’s student-centered development strategy, with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle at the university, increasing students’ physical activity, strengthening team spirit, and ensuring the effective organization of young people’s leisure time.
Student teams representing various faculties took part in the university futsal championship. The matches were held in an atmosphere of intense sporting competition, teamwork, and strong rivalry. During the games, students demonstrated both their physical preparedness and their ability to work collectively.
According to the final results, the SI23 group of the Faculty of Education, 3rd year, was awarded 1st place. The EEM24 group of the Faculty of Engineering, 2nd year, took 2nd place, while the MT23 group of the Faculty of Economics and Management, 3rd year, secured 3rd place.
The winning teams and distinguished participants were congratulated by the university leadership and wished success in their future academic and sporting activities.
MSU will continue its activities aimed at encouraging students to adopt a healthy lifestyle, developing sports culture, and expanding intra-university sports initiatives.
