On October 20, 2025, an awareness-raising meeting on “Conflict Management and Mediation Skills” was organized by the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Mingachevir State University.

The event was arranged for students majoring in Social-Psychological Services in Education and Social Work. The meeting, which aimed to expand students’ knowledge of conflict management as well as the nature and practical application mechanisms of mediation, was conducted under the guidance of Gülnar Məmmədova, a lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology.

Within the framework of the event, students visited Mingachevir Mediation Organization No. 1, where mediators Elnur Həsənzadə and Lalə Pirməmmədova provided detailed information about the legal and socio-psychological aspects of mediation, alternative mechanisms for resolving conflicts, the principles of a mediator’s work, and the professional competencies developed in this field.

During the meeting, the mediators shared their practical experiences, presenting the stages of the mediation process, the establishment of constructive dialogue between parties, and effective communication strategies for the peaceful resolution of conflicts. They also answered questions that interested the students.

It was emphasized that such awareness-raising meetings play an important role in strengthening students’ theoretical knowledge through practical experience and in fostering a culture of dialogue, social responsibility, and the ability to resolve conflicts through civil and constructive means among young people.
