An open class was held at Mingachevir State University

An open class on the subject “Ethical Principles in Social Work Practice” was organized for the SI-23 group studying Social Work at Mingachevir State University.

The class was conducted by Konul Adalat, a lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology. The main goal of the session was to instill in students the importance of ethical principles in social work, explain standards of professional conduct, and develop practical approaches through real-life situations.

During the class, key provisions of the code of ethics, prevention of discrimination, ensuring social justice, and protection of client rights were widely discussed. Students worked in groups, completing various situational tasks and delivering presentations, which encouraged exchange of ideas on the topic.

The interactive format of the class stood out due to the students’ active participation and strong interest in the subject. At the end, students who actively participated were evaluated.

It should be noted that such open classes contribute to combining students’ theoretical knowledge with practical skills and help them become better prepared for their future professional careers.
