A startup competition on “Innovative Technology Ideas in Industry” was held at Mingachevir State University

On October 22, 2025, a startup competition titled “Innovative Technology Ideas in Industry” was held at Mingachevir State University. The event was jointly organized by the Departments of Business and Management and Information Technologies. Students from various academic programs of the university participated in the event and presented their startup projects in teams.

The main aim of the competition was to promote innovative thinking among students, support the development of new technological solutions applicable to the industrial sector, and encourage young people to engage in the startup ecosystem.

Within the framework of the event, participants presented innovative ideas and projects focused on optimizing production processes in industrial enterprises, implementing automation systems, developing solutions based on artificial intelligence and data analytics, improving energy efficiency, and applying digital management technologies.

The presented startup projects were evaluated by a jury panel based on criteria such as the level of innovation, technical justification, practical applicability, economic efficiency, and presentation quality. The jury highly appreciated the students’ creative approaches and their ability to utilize modern technologies.

During the event, it was emphasized that organizing such startup competitions contributes significantly to the development of students’ entrepreneurial thinking, enhances their skills in working on innovative projects, and expands cooperation opportunities between the university and the industrial sector.

At the end of the competition, the winning teams were determined and awarded, and the students were provided with recommendations to further develop their startup ideas in the future.

It should be noted that such initiatives implemented at Mingachevir State University make a significant contribution to the development of students’ innovative and entrepreneurial competencies, the promotion of technology-oriented startup ideas, and the expansion of opportunities for the practical application of scientific knowledge in accordance with the needs of the real sector.
