A scientific-practical seminar dedicated to “June 1 – International Children’s Day” was held at Mingachevir State University (MSU) within the framework of the “Urban Planning and Architecture Year”.
The main objective of the seminar was to conduct awareness-raising discussions on the protection of children’s rights, their healthy and safe development in a secure environment, as well as their protection from emerging digital risks in the modern era.
The event was opened by the Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Ms. Könül Cabbarova, who emphasized that the formation of children based on healthy, safe, and national-moral values is of crucial importance for the future of society. She underlined that ensuring the protection of children’s rights, providing access to quality education, and strengthening their safety in the digital environment are among the key priorities of the modern age.
During the seminar, a series of academic presentations were delivered. Lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Ms. Nərgiz Niftəliyeva, presented on “Transactional Analysis of Communication between Parents and Children,” highlighting the role of family communication in the psychological development of the child from a scientific perspective.
MSU lawyer Mr. Polad Atayev delivered a presentation on “Children’s Rights and Mechanisms for Their Protection,” providing detailed information on the legal foundations of child rights protection and existing safeguarding mechanisms.
Subsequently, lecturer Ms. Günel Nəcəfova presented on “Towards an Inclusive Future: Protecting Children in the Digital Environment and Equality in Education,” addressing issues related to ensuring children’s safety in the digital space and expanding inclusive education opportunities.
The seminar featured extensive discussions on the protection of children’s rights, their upbringing in line with national and moral values, the expansion of inclusive education opportunities, and digital safety issues.
At the end of the event, participants highly appreciated the seminar as an important awareness-raising platform contributing to the development and protection of children.
